JZ038 Updating with the archive Update Directory. (REQUIRED if you are using the previous version of Caseware)
 
In order to update Jazzit, you are required to have the latest version of Caseware. If your firm must use the previous version of Caseware, a version of Jazzit that supports the previous version of Jazzit is available.
If your firm is using the previous version (or older) of Caseware, do not use the file downloaded from my.caseware.com. Please contact support (support@caseware.com) to obtain the Jazzit download that supports the previous version of Caseware.
 
The previous version of Caseware refers to the version of Caseware that immediately precedes the latest supported version. At the time of writing the latest supported version of Caseware is 2024, therefore the “previous version” is Caseware 2023. This will change as newer versions of Caseware are released. Update Directory packages are not available for versions of Caseware preceding the “previous version” (e.g. 2022 and lower).
 
The Archive Update Directory is compatible with the previous version of Caseware.
 
The Archive Update Directory is only created when Jazzit transitions to a newer version of Caseware and is not updated regularly. Consequently the Archive Update Directory usually does not contain the latest version of Jazzit. Update Caseware to the latest supported version to access the latest version of Jazzit.
 
 
The file obtained from Jazzit Support replaces the file that you download from my.caseware.com.
